Built for 2″ x 48″ machines, armed with Shredder ceramic
These carry the same #Shredder ceramic grain as our 2x72 line — the grain fractures continuously to expose fresh cutting edges, so belts cut fast and run cool on steel and stainless.

The belts worked great will be using them from now on. These are the first knives I have made in a few years been a grind getting them done and working full time.
Thank you combat abrasives.

The 2x42 60 grit shredder belt has really upped my blade making game. As someone currently freehanding flat surfaces, that initial grind is most crucial and most time consuming as you establish bevels and remove hammer marks. The shredder saves me a LOT of time! Wish they lasted longer, but the cleaning block extends the useful life and, when they’re dull, they still do a fine job on wood!
These belts really move metal. Cut my grinding time down by half. I was skeptical but holy smokes they grind. in fact my first pass it “caught” since i was used to my old 60grit and how slow I would make passes. This one was the best bevels i have ever ground!
Just set up my new belt grinder. I ordered a range of Combat Abrasives 2x48 belts in various grits. The belt quality is very good. I know these will meet my needs.
These belts are amazing. I was very intimidated at first use , they removed material like I hadn't experienced before and I thought they were about e my skill levels. Once I learned what they were capable of soon feel in love and will not use another product if I have a choice they are my first stop for belts and look forward to trying there slow cure epoxy. The fact that they are a family owned business gives me that much more confidence that they care about how the product performs
I've run through thousands of belts on this old grinder I built 20+ years ago, but these Shredder belts are a whole new level of grinding efficiency....after giving them a try they'll be my go to for hogging steel!
These belts chew through the toughest stock. The finer and lighter weight belts run like a silk blanket. Heat buildup was minimal all the way through the grits. In fact, this bevel was ground without a bucket of water...just the occasional spritz of Windex on the belt and blade.
