Shredder grain for disc sanders
PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) discs peel and stick straight onto a 9″ backup pad — no hook-and-loop, no clips — giving a dead-flat bond that survives serious heat and pressure.
These run the same ceramic Shredder technology as our belts: self-renewing grain built for heavy-duty sanding under high-heat conditions on steel and stainless. Stick one on and shred away.

Grit guide
Which grit should you choose?
Three discs per pack, one grit per pack.
Maximum removal — heavy deburring and cleanup.
General grinding and blending.
Refining the surface after coarse work.
Finishing passes and pre-finish blending.
Suitability
What are these discs best for?
Use them for
- Heavy-duty disc sanding on steel and stainless
- Deburring, blending, cleaning and finishing
- High-heat applications where cheap discs glaze
Not the right disc for
- Sanders without a 9″ backup pad — the disc needs its matching pad
- Fine finishing past 120 grit
Technical details
The deeper dive
Peel the liner and press the disc onto a clean 9″ backup pad. The adhesive bond is flat and secure under heat and pressure — replace the disc when the cut rate drops.
The same ceramic Shredder technology as our 2x72 belts: self-fracturing grain that keeps exposing fresh cutting edges.
Disc sanders throw serious debris — eye protection and a properly rated respirator. We recommend a full-face respirator like this one on Amazon.
