Questions
Ceramic Shredder hub flap disc FAQs
Will this fit my grinder?
Any 4-1/2″ grinder with a 5/8-11 threaded spindle. If yours uses a flange nut and 7/8″ arbor discs, get the 7/8″ version instead.
What does Type 29 mean?
The face is angled — best for aggressive grinding at 15–25 degrees to the work.
Why high density?
About twice the flap material of a standard disc — more abrasive to wear through before replacement.
Which grit should I start with?
36–40 for heavy weld removal, 60 for general grinding, 80–120 for blending.
Hub or arbor?
Hub spins on tool-free; arbor uses your flange nut. Same abrasive either way.
