These high-density Type 29 discs carry roughly double the flap material of a standard disc, in the same fast-cutting ceramic as our Shredder belts. That is where the 5X LIFE rating comes from — more ceramic to wear through, cutting fast and cool on steel and stainless the whole way down.

Construction
Ceramic grain flaps on a Type 29 (angled) fiberglass backing plate, 4-1/2″ diameter with a 7/8″ arbor hole.
Machine fit

We, at Brothers of Steel, use the 36 grit for fast stock/weld removal and the 60 grit for the final polish. They work soo well that we've almost completely removed hard wheels in our polishing processes thus reducing errors and increasing productivity.
Buying American to build American blades!
Pro level ordering and shipping experience, great communication all the way throughout the process.
The 60 grit flap disk was no joke when it came to material subtraction.
Lookn forward to future purchases.
OK, first of all I am not a knife maker. I do metal art! and after 40 years I have found the brand I will stick with. I saw an ad on Instagram and thought yeah right, but gave them a try and they do everything promised and more just wish I had found sooner.
Learning to craft knives from annealed files. Still much to do on this knife project. I love the speed at which these wheels work. This is from a 36 Grit wheel, used on multiple projects still in process and a Farrier's rasp as the substrate
I have been using other companies buffing wheels nothing compared to these long lasting !I buff all the bodies before paint and usually go through 2 competitors pad I still have lots of life left in these wheels reccomend 100%Royal-fabrication
Pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance compared to the usual ceramic discs from Lowe’s. This one is still going strong long after I would have killed the Lowe’s ones. Performance was better with less pressure needed and it seems like a lot less heat generated in 5e metal I was smoothing. I’ll order these again for sure!
Made my first hatchet from h13 steel. Played around on my small belt grinder for hours. Threw a 36 grip flap disk in my Angle Grinder and it chewed through forge scale and smoothed everything out in a few minutes like magic. Unbelievable!!! And that is some hard steel!!! Best thing ever.
Their good but, I don't know what you're comparing them to when you say 5x the life, that's a bit of a strong statement. They seemed to quit cutting and polishing after about 4 welds, 2" long.
Best damn fap wheel on the market. Been welding for 62 years (77) now, wished we could've had them years ago. No need for a disc grinding wheel with these. Thanks to everyone at Combat
As a first.time user of Combat products, I am impressed with the quality and performance of the ceramic flap discs. They are now my "go to" products at a very reasonable price.
