This kit is the Shredder ceramic line’s core four grits in working quantity. Ceramic grain continuously renews its cutting edges as it fractures, cutting faster and cooler on steel and stainless — and this kit gives you six belts at each step so the sequence never stalls.
The included Greasestick keeps belts cutting cooler and extends their life.

Why the sequence matters
Never jump far between grits. Go 36 → 60 → 80 → 120. Jump from 36 straight to 120 and you’ll destroy the 120 belt almost immediately — the fine grain can’t remove deep 36-grit scratches without overloading.
Skipping also wrecks the finish: excess loading and pressure generate heat that can burn and tarnish the steel. The one skip that’s acceptable: 36 to 60 (skipping 40/50). Beyond that, step through.
Each grit removes the previous grit’s scratches — that’s the whole system, and it’s why this kit carries six belts of each step.

Self-fracturing ceramic grain on Y-weight polyester backing — the same belts as our Ceramic Shredder 3-packs. Grits in this kit (36–120) can be run wet.

What’s the Greasestick for?
It’s a belt lubricant: applied to the running belt it reduces heat and extends belt life.
What do I use after 120 grit?
Move to the A/O Finishing & Sharpening belts (150–800 grit), then the leather strop.
